You Have to Make This Pink Spiced Hot Oatmeal Drink – Dairy Free-Gluten Free & So Yummy

If you enjoy spiced oatmeal, you are going to love this recipe. Making a supercharged hot oatmeal beverage has carried me on days where a sit-down breakfast simply isn’t possible.

If it’s late and I’m feeling a little hungry, I love making a spiced hot oatmeal beverage. It’s something my sweet Italian and Latin American grandmother would make for me when I lived abroad. She would often slice apples and add to the oatmeal as it cooked with a few cinnamon sticks. The kitchen always smelled heavenly when she made hot oatmeal drinks for me.

For several years now, I have been practicing Intermittent Fasting on and off. For me, this means not eating past 8:30pm and resuming my food consumption around 1:30pm the next day.

I have about a dozen different hot oatmeal recipes I’ve developed over the years, but when I’m in a pinch, I just add in whatever I have on hand. Sometimes its a handful of sprouted pumpkin seeds, cashew butter or flaxseeds. The sky is the limit.

Making sure the beverage has the right combination of PFF (protein, fat, and fiber) is especially crucial for women. This combination helps keep our hormones balanced and promotes healthy blood sugar levels.

RECIPE

To make this deliciousness for one person, you will need:

a blender

1/4 of GF sprouted organic oats (use regular organic oats if you want)

1 cup of organic almond milk

1/2 cup of full-fat coconut milk

1/2 cup of filtered water

pinch of Himalayan salt

pinch of mace, cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon (add more spices to your liking)

1/2 teaspoon of organic vanilla extract (we use alcohol-free)

2 tablespoons of organic coconut sugar or sweetener of your choice

1 tablespoon of fresh red dragon fruit or 1 teaspoon of dried dragon fruit powder

*Optional – 1 tablespoon of cashew butter

*Non-Vegan peeps, feel free to add in some collagen to this for added protein.

Directions
In a medium-sized pan, add all liquids and your oats. Bring to a boil and lower to medium heat. Add in the rest of the ingredients except the dragon fruit—Cook for five minutes. Make sure to watch your pot, so it doest spillover.

Carefully pour everything into your blender and add in the fresh dragon fruit or the dragon fruit powder. Blend until smooth. Go ahead and get out your favorite mug and enjoy!

This beverage is a fantastic option if you’re feeling a little hungry after dinner or want a quick breakfast in the morning.

Blessings, CFG
