Have you ever wanted to make your own wine? Although the original process is a lengthily one, with a little cheating you too can make a delicious wine based on your preferences.
Often times when I am cooking I love to use wine to marinate chicken dishes. It gives it just the right taste.
Here is a quick recipe you can put together at home using organic chamomile.
Ingredients:
1 liter dry white organic wine
1 cup dried organic chamomile flowers
4 tablespoons raw organic honey (or to taste)
Grated zest of 2 organic lemon or 1 orange
Pour wine into a clean glass jar or bottle. Add chamomile, zest, and cover. Place in a cool dry and dark place and steep for 1-2 weeks.
Strain through a muslin bag or fine metal strainer, then add raw honey to taste and pour it into a clean glass container like an old wine bottle. You can use this right away or seal the bottle and store it for up to 6 months.
You can always use any other herb you like, it does not have to be chamomile. Lavender or Lemon Thyme can also be used to make a delicious marinating wine.
Enjoy respectfully and responsibly!
